Chairperson

Chris has recently retired as the Business Manager of Christian College Geelong, and is now a Business Mentor and Coach. With an extensive background in accounting and management, Chris has a strong social justice worldview that has led him to use his own skills and abilities to partner with those who are disadvantaged. He believes that ‘it’s not about a hand out but a hand up’; and with a little bit of help most people can significantly improve their lives.

Mal has over 40 years experience in infrastructure development and funding, with a focus on customer engagement and business development. Mal is currently Investment Development Manager with AusNet, and is also the current chair of the Barrabool Christian Foundation which has a strong focus on sustainably providing funding for Australian and Overseas initiatives which support the disadvantaged. For more than a decade Mal has participated in development programs in Nairobi, Kenya, and is passionate about using his business skills to discover and facilitate projects which deliver meaningful change for those in need.

Amanda is the Head of Internal Audit at Honda Australia Pty Ltd, where she oversees the development and execution of comprehensive internal audit functions across Honda’s Automotive, Motorcycle, and Power Equipment divisions within Australia. With a strong commitment to governance, Amanda brings extensive expertise in Corporate Risk and Compliance to the OneCare Board.

Prior to relocating to Geelong in 2019, Amanda served on the Board of LifeHouse in Melbourne. She is deeply passionate about supporting the mission of the not-for-profit sector and making a positive impact within her community.

Erin has extensive experience as a lawyer, specialising mainly in Government & Administrative Law, Information Law and Privacy. She has worked both in private practice and in-house for government, and is currently a Senior Lawyer for a Commonwealth Government Agency. Erin has always been drawn to working for government clients because she believes in the value of acting for the greater good and serving the broader public through her work. Erin is committed to serving the community, in a professional and personal capacity. She considers it an honour to contribute to the governance of OneCare, which plays such a valuable role in addressing disadvantage within the Geelong region.

Andrew started his working life in the Banking Industry before joining Local Government. He has held different roles with the City of Greater Geelong for the past 25 years. Andrew has a passion to serve in the community both professionally and personally. He has served in various roles including Disability Advisory Committee, Homeless Action group, Community Project Control Groups and local school and sporting club committees. Andrew says it is important to see everyone connected and participating in Community life.
